- I just finished reading this book and thought, "Wow, why hasn't anyone written a book like this before now." Reading this earlier in my life would have saved me so much wasted time, energy, and money on poor decisions that I had a bad feeling about but pushed forward with anyways.
I'm a entrepreneur and small business owner and I found this book to be a perfect blend of theory and actionable strategies. It was also exciting to read the case studies and business examples throughout. I now feel more connected to my intuition and excited to use the framework in the book to deepen my ability to listen to my gut and follow it. - I know I'm reading the right book when I keep putting it down to look out the window, and reflect on the ideas being presented, when I'm consistently drawn inward to consider what it means in my own life. Rick Snyder's Decisive Intuition is not so much trying to fill the reader up with new information as much as point one towards the resources they already possess but could be using more consciously. It was palpable that intuition and its application to leadership isn't academic for him but a real personal journey he's committed to. I found the language accessible and I enjoyed the practical exercises throughout which allowed me to begin working both with my own intuition as well as exploring what inhibits it. Having a strong relationship with our gut instinct feels so clearly valuable yet there is so little information out there for how to develop it. This book feels like a giant leap in opening up that conversation. I recommend it to anyone who wants to bring more of their innate gifts to their work or who wants to inspire their people to do the same.
