Knitting Board Basics A Beginner Guide to Using a Knitting Board with Over 30 Easy Projects NoNeedle Knits Pat Novak Kim Novak 9780312582548 Books Reviews

  • Clear, good quality pages/illustrations, and well-organized. Been using this with my new All-in-One Knitting Board and having lots of fun. The only thing I would have liked to see is more diversity of projects… Perhaps a cowl, infinity scarf, some single knit ideas/instructions, or a knitting-in-the-round project. There are a few projects (like the hat and scarf combos) that seem mildly redundant.

Other than that, this book is fairly comprehensive --from button holes, to plackets, to how to crochet a drawstring. It's all there.
  • This is the favorite of my loom books along with one other. At first, my fault, I bought what I thought was the 'wrong book' because I did circle looms only & I am kinda scared to try to do the knitting board but love the looming process so much that I bought the all in one loom so I can try to do both round and board projects. This book explains very clearly along with pictures a step by step sequence. after going through this book it makes me less wary of trying the board! Really interesting process and explained very clearly! Looking forward to starting the projects. Thank you, now I'm really glad I got it!
  • Well written. Great illustrations.
This book was essential for me to use my new All In One knitting loom, as the included instructions with the loom were poor. I appreciate the convenience of carrying it in my stitching satchel, for a quick reference. (vs being tied to the computer for YouTube videos)
Since I am new the world of Loom Knitting, it provides me the excellent instructions for the DOUBLE KNITTING EASY patterns. And the patterns do progress to Advanced.
The only drawback was, that the book does not provide instructions for Single Knitting stitches & patterns.
  • I borrowed this book from the library, but there was so much information that I didn't want to give the book back. The photos and descriptions were clear and concise, and easy to follow. The photos with different colors of yarn for different rows made the steps very clear for me. This book shows that there is a lot you can do with a knitting board. (I could knit and crochet before reading this book, I was just new to knitting boards.)
  • Eventually I hope to advance to have enough skill 'knitting boards' grow into my sphere of experience. There is a knifty knitting loom pictured in the book with the wood looms- my concern is what is 'board basics' few are transferable to the simple plastic knifty knitting looms.
  • I like this book because it was step by step on using my knitting board. I also like the patterns that were in the book. Already made two hats and I'm about to start a scarf to match my new coat.
  • Very nice
  • Anyone who enjoys loom knitting and wants to learn new stitches with easy to follow instructions, needs to buy this book.
