This a book about the relationship between you and your animal...that the beauty that we see in our animal companions is also in us. While the ideas in Tammy's book are not brand new to me...that our animals reflect back to us what we like or don't like in ourselves..., what is new to me is how our relationship with them enhances all our other relationships, especially the one we have with ourselves. This is ground-breaking information. Tammy has a way of sharing her wisdom, her compassion and her joy for the human/animal connection in an easy-to-read, story-telling fashion that had me hanging on every word. I recommend Soul Healing with Our Animal Companions to anyone who wants to know themselves at a deeper level through their relationship with their animals.
• Soul Healing With Our Animal Companions is easy to read and full of illuminating information on the connection between animal and human. I was intrigued when I read that "animals carry the same energetic patterns and emotional wounding as people". Also, "animals pick up their peoples emotions". WHAT? I had no idea. I have owned animals for 40+ years and this book opened my eyes and my heart. I learned why my dog was displaying fear based behavior and how to help her. The author seems to have a Devine calling to help us understand that we have a closer bond with our animals then we may think. I like this book very much and bought several copies to give as gifts.
• Having had cats all my life, I never knew or understood the deeper emotional connection between them and me. After reading this book, I have come to see their various personality characteristics and why each of them has been important to me at a stage in my life. I have learned that I have chosen them as help in healing parts of myself that are wounded, the same as they are healed by being part of my life. • Really great book that gave me so much insight into different behavior issues with animals and how to help them. I volunteer at our local animal rescue and we very often have dogs that have acquired some bad habits . This book gave me a totally different understanding of why some of the dogs behave the way they do and how to help them through it.
